In July, Commtech Asia teams from China and Hong Kong completed a purposeful two-day teambuilding camp at an eco and leisure farm in Hangzhou, China.

“This camp successfully enhanced our team spirit, inspiring the team to overcome difficulties with any possible measures. I hope for the team to stay cohesive so that they can drive more possibilities together.”

The teambuilding camp provided a valuable opportunity for gathering the teams off-site via several productive activities, challenging games and meaningful takeaways. Building relationship between different business functions and departments was the key purpose of the programme.

Complemented with fine weather, the camp involved friendly competitions and games that were designed to promote effective communications and teamwork. Participants were also shuffled in different teams to encourage team bonding and close collaboration to overcome the challenges of each game within the stipulated time.

Active listening was encouraged throughout the camp, and this was reinforced on the second day, when our team was given the opportunity to speak frankly and discuss ways to improve team operations.

Country director in China, Askins Lam concluded, “We always care about our people, and our work culture influences everyone in Commtech Asia to do the same for others. While playing the games, I was delighted to see the team showing an absolute commitment to being considerate with each other by engaging in a two-way communication before taking any action.”
