The much-awaited world’s biggest IKEA store has finally opened its doors in the Philippines. Located in Pasay City, this Swedish furniture maker’s store boasts an area of 68,000 sqm or an equivalent of 150 basketball courts.
Commtech Asia is at the forefront of every safety and compliance requirement of the premise. To ensure a safe and pleasant shopping experience for all customers, Commtech Asia was tapped by SM Prime Holdings, Inc. to do the Commissioning Management of this biggest blue box store in the world to ensure life safety, compliance, and sustainability. The team is now working on the final stage.

For its MEP compliance requirement, Commtech Asia took the lead in the execution of Testing and Commissioning Management scopes and procedures including the commissioning of central Chilled Water System, life safety systems, power failure essential mode and any systems integration ensuring that building services are fully optimized and designed in full compliance to standard requirements of both SM Prime Holdings and IKEA.
