The project

Commtech Asia was appointed as the testing and commissioning manager to ensure that the systems within the datacentre work properly and meet the requirements of a Tier 3 datacentre as defined by Uptime Institute.

Located in the northeast Singapore, Digital Realty’s four-storey datacenter SIN11 at 3 Loyang Way spans 177,000 sq ft and is supported by a Tier 3 design.

Connected to Digital Realty’s Jurong East datacentre via both dark and lit fibre services, the SIN11 datacentre provides access to global tier 1 carriers, as well as the Singapore Internet Exchange. It can therefore provide both central-to-east and east-to-west connectivity, bringing much convenience and flexibility to its customers.

With a goal of achieving Singapore BCA Green Mark Platinum, the SIN11 datacentre adopted high-efficiency and eco-friendly datacentre design and technology to fulfill its power usage effectiveness (PUE) targets. Commtech Asia commissioned the green practices and systems, leading it to be successfully certified as Platinum level representing high sustainability.
