The project

Commtech Asia provided commissioning management of the hotel’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems during the construction phases, to ensure optimum energy efficiency once the hotel commenced full operation. The team recommended some major improvements on the MEP systems operations, and conducted testings for the plumbing and air system capacities to ensure and maintain comfort conditions for its guests.

The third hotel that Commtech Asia delivered for the brand

Testing and commissioning activities were carried out in line with Chinese national standards, Guobiao (GB) codes, and the owner’s system requirements. According to the requirements of the latter, a lot more emphasis was placed on the testing and commissioning of the air system to attain improved room comfort and air system reliability, ensuring that it will not increase operating costs in the long run.

With this being the third hotel delivered for the brand thus far, Commtech Asia was conversant with its requirements and expectations in terms of testing and commissioning, as well as the challenges of hotel construction in China.
