Ian is the Regional Technical Director of Commtech Asia for North Asia and is our resident expert in mission-critical environments. He has managed commissioning services for complex global datacentres for some of the world’s leading banks, financial institutions and co-location providers including HSBC, Citibank, RBS, Standard Life, Equinix and Digital Realty.
He started off in the world of commissioning in 1982, working for two of the UK’s top consultancies and holding leading roles on key projects including the British Library culminating in heading the operations for the Scotland regional office. In 2009 he joined Commtech Asia in Hong Kong to manage operations, bringing to bear his in-depth experience in managing high-profile, high-value and technically complex projects.
His current responsibility is to lead the further development of Commtech Asia’s technical and quality-assured operations, achieving the group’s core principles of optimising efficiencies and providing the ultimate experience for Commtech Asia team and its customers. Under his supervision, Commtech Asia’s businesses across North Asia are able to complete projects in the most efficient way whilst fulfilling customers’ diverse requirements.
