In Hong Kong, Commtech Asia volunteered for a community event, ‘Green Recycling Day’, organised by Environmental Protection Department and Business Environment Council.
The objective of the event is to reinforce green measures by recycling used flowers, plants and gardening materials from the Hong Kong Flower Show 2019, an annual horticulture event held in Victoria Park, Hong Kong. The team contributed one working day to support this initiative under the scorching hot sun.
Commtech Asia’s volunteers assisted in classifying faded flowers, soil and other wastes that can be repurposed or recycled. The team also sorted out the flowers and plants that were still blooming and alive, distributing them to schools, non-profit organisations and the general public.
It was certainly a fantastic day out and an amazing opportunity for the team to do its part in protecting and preserving the world we live in.
